Full Version: Interview with Tom Morgan
Rod Building > General Rod Building > General Rod Building
SmallieHunter
Not long ago you all were presented with the rare opportunity to pick the brain of a rod building legend. The moderators and I choose what we thought were the best questions and submitted them to Mr. Morgan. A few days ago he submitted his anwers to us and I was amazed at the time and effort that he put into every question and the vast amount of knowledge that he has given us. Seriously, Tom has given us a wealth of great information that could be printed as a small book. There is some great info pertaining to both graphite and bamboo rods and goes into great detail about actions on rods which I personally found very helpful.

Tom, also mentioned that he would like to register and answer any questions that you all may have about any of the info contained in the article.

This is one of the most indepth, articles I have seen so I hope you all help me say "THANK YOU!!" to Mr. Morgan for taking the time to do this for us.

What a fantastic interview! I'm starting a third reading right now. Let me also extend a THANK YOU Mr. Morgan, from someone who has never (yet) been to Montana. wink.gif

For those of you who haven't looked at the interview page in the last day, check it out again. Some photos of Tom's rods have been taken from his website and added to the interview. If you want to see some perfect guide wraps, check 'em out - truely stunning! Those are going to haunt me. dry.gif laugh.gif

Tom,

I'm not sure if you have the time or desire to sign up with the forum, but if you do I'd love to ask you a few brief follow-up questions.

Simply superlative stuff! Thanks so much to the mods and Tom for their time in putting this together and sharing the insights. One of my favorite things about rodbuilding is the sense of community and sharing of lessons that goes on.

Thanks again,
