Has anybody dealt with Gatti on a warranty claim? I built a rod for a friend of mine with a Gatti blank last year, and the tip broke a few weeks ago crying.gif . It's under warranty, and the break appears to have been a manufacturer's defect. Anyway, he seems to be getting the runaround from Gatti now. I'm hoping this is an isolated incident, and that it will get resolved, but it makes me nervous about using their blanks in the future. Has anyone else had problems with Gatti fulfilling a warranty claim or are they pretty reliable?

The Gatti USA dealer is Brian (member rovercat here on this site). Get a hold of Brian and he will take care of you.

Great, thanks for the info! I'll wait and see what happens with this claim before I contact Brian...it sounds like it might be getting worked out.

Do not go through GATTI in Italy the shipping charge is very high. I can take care of it for you. If you bought the blank from Mud Hole they are responsible but will refuse to take care of the warranty for you. If I can take care of it for you. Had you purchased it from GATTI USA I would have all the warranty info on file because I fill out the cards for the customer and email them to Italy.

Thanks for your help Brian. It looks like you're already taking care of this. The rod belongs to Logan Johnson. He contacted me a few days ago and was a little worried when Mudhole refused to honor the warranty claim after you told him that they were responsible. I spoke with him again last night (after posting here...sorry) and he said that he has already sent the rod you you, and that it sounds like everything is being taken care of. Thanks for your help with this!
