The only gold colored ferrules I have seen were Featherlite or something similar.
What size are you looking for? I have several sets. They were made for fiberglass rods and have a small rubber o ring on the male slide.

In Germany Michael Hulsenbeck sells "gold" ferrules. Here is the link to his site:

RSA is right - also only know Hülsenbeck who sells golden ferrules. They´re truncated built and to get in 1mm steps (4mm - 10mm) - but - they´re not cheap and real 24K golden. Two years or so ago I have had luck and they were for sell for the half in ebay whistling1.gif

Instead of using gold ferrules you could use standard nickel silver ferrules then overwrap them with a yellow/gold thread then finish the thread so it goes transparent.

Something like the image below which was done using Pearsall's antique gold, though you could easily use one of the more yellow Pearsall's or YLI threads.

Meanwhile, here are the two good blanks I just made this past week. They are about 36" in length. So the rod will be around 6'. This be my catfish pole! I used a wooden planning form!!! Since im a newbie, im thinking i'll get more practice before making a metal one. Boy the past few weeks has been alot of practice to get them right. My fingers still got glue and sored from planning.

Also im working on making a small metal plane form using two 20" 1/4"thick rod from a printer i found a while back.
Drilling the holes on them will be fun! lol

-by the way, the way i flamed these, i just space about 2" apart and did a burn completely around the rod. Looks like camouflage color almost. Will go greatly with my camouflage wader lol.
