The top one (first pic) is African blackwood with
tourquoise crushed stone inlay. I cut two grooves with my parting tool and filled them with the stone/epoxy mix.
The second one was for the insert swap we had a while ago. It's rosewood with Lady Amherst and grizzly hackle feather inlay. I applied the feathers the same way some do on a rod blank: CP to set it, then finish (Threadmaster in this case) over that when it's dry.
