I assume your asking about epoxy thread finish and not a one coat blank finish?

All 2 part epoxy thread finishes are a lot alike and I have yet to use any brand that sucks. The only issue I have with Flex-Coat is the excessive yellowing that occurs over time (all epoxies yellow over time) and I understand Flex-Coat addressed that issue since and added some UV inhibitors to it's formula.

What is it about Flex-Coat that you think sucks? Pot life? Yellowing? cure time? viscosity? bubbles?
Problems with those can be user related & not product related.

flex just doesn't seem lite enough for me. it dries fine but i just want other opinions on what people think the best to use is. thanks for your input.

A lot of guys like ThreadMaster. I like Diamond II. U-40 is great and so is Aftcote & Flex-Coat.

You might find the light formulas to be more to your liking.

thank you. i will try one of those.

I have some rods that were built over 15 years ago using flexcoat, some even with white thread and I defy anyone to see any signs of yellowing.
