I am building a dip tube system and want to use a reversible motor for withdrawing the rod sections. I have been searching for the actual motors for this use. Many websites just refer to "motors" but never really discuss the actual brand of motor and the specs on the motor. I appreciate any help anyone can provide. Patentman

This is exactly the motor that I use made by Timetech. Turn it on and it goes one way turn it off and on again (sometimes it takes a few tries) and it goes the other. Very easy and the perfect RPM though I did have to turn down the OD of the included coupler to get it to withdraw at the correct rate.

Part's aren't that big of a problem. Here is what I used.

Motor

Power Supply

Variable Speed Control

In addition to that all that I needed was a double throw / double pole toggle switch to make the motor reversible. By using the Variable speed control I can easily control the speed from less than 1 RPM up to "full speed".

Jim: Thanks very much for the list of parts. Wayne

Would a dimmer switch work for a variable speed control?
