I am building my own power wrapper with the help of an engineer at work. I see that Pacbay makes a chuck mounted on a headstock with a pulley in the back....what i need to know is if anyone knows of any cheap 3 Jaw chucks I can buy that will accept a shaft if I machine a pulley to tig weld on the rear part of the shaft? most of the ones I looked do not give shaft attachment methods....

Please advise, thanks in advance

What kind of chuck are you looking at? Lathe chucks always specify their mounting requirements. Drill chuck come in standard sizes, i.e. a 1/2" chuck threads onto a 1/2x20 post. If you can tell us what kind of chuck you're looking at, we may be able to help you figure out how to mount it.

If you're looking for a Jacobs chuck then most any old 3/8 (or 1/2') drill motor has a chuck threaded on. A lot of them will tell you the thread size on the chuck. But there is a screw inside the chuck at the bottom that needs to be taken out before threading the chuck off the drill.

Would this be what you're looking for?
I have one for a dryer I'll be making.
