Hey there. I am in need of a good pen for writing on my bamboo rod. the micron pen I use now just wipes off. maybe what pen and where to find it would be helpful.

the micron pens have always worked well for me.you do however need to put a coat of varnish over it.i have yet to find a pen that will stay without a protective coat,wish i could find one,steve

I use a rapid-o-graph architectural pen with a .025 point, with very good success...you can find them at a good artist supply store for about $30

If you use a Rapid-o-graph or K&E ( same thing), use only inks made for these types of pens. There are a few choices, some for writing on plastic, some for paper, etc. There is only one thing worse than using India ink in your technical pen, and that is using India ink in your girlfriends technical pen.
