I have about 120 yrds of an old silk salmon fly line about a 9 wt. Which I've had knocking around for about a year. I have never fly fished myself ever before but have decided to start. Building a cane fly rod and using silk line. Learning the hard way some might say.

But if you're using a cane rod, its the perfect match...

Anyway, Any tips on restoring them so they're ready for use, and using them?
