One Planing Form - With 5 inch stations. These were made for me by a machinist who didn't really know what he was doing so I had to true them up myself. I only did the small side which is sufficient for the beginning rod builder. If you want the larger side trued, you can either do it yourself ( with a file and elbow grease) or get a hold of a good machinist (I know of one now)
One Stanley 60 1/2 Block Plane - This block plane was trued by a very good machinist and has a .004 rod builders groove.
One Lie Nielsen #212 Scraper Plane - This Block plane has also been trued by a very good machinist and has the .004 rod builders groove.
One Dial Indicator Depth Gauge - this depth gauge comes with a Standard.
Two node vises - These vises have aluminum jaws (to dispense heat) that have been milled and trued (again by a very good machinist). One vise has a node notch.
One Wagner heat gun - This is a variable power heat gun with all of the attachments.
Cotton Binding Thread - about 4800 yards
I'll also throw in a couple of culms of bamboo and a drip tube.
!VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE!
I'm selling ALL of this as a package deal and won't be splitting it up. One other bit, I won't be packing and shipping this stuff so you will have to either find out how to pick it up from Northern Wisconsin, or find some way of getting it from Northern WI to you.
All this for the fair (not low or high) price of $650
This would be a good starter kit for someone interested in checking out what this rod building stuff is all about. All you would need is a binder and oven, which I have the parts here if you want them.
