That's a semi-local friend, James who's those are.  Since he graduated from WSU I doubt you'll see any more of his offerings as he is a full-fledged engineer.

What are you looking for exactly?    Most of the pen blanks that would work for reel seats actually use Alder pine cones because they are small and you can get a good number of them in a 3/4" blank.

What color are you looking for in a reel seat with pine cones?   I have a friend who does stabilize pine cone 40+ at a time 

This one is a red, light teal and pearl white.

Maybe I missed it but what kind of Wood Lathe do you have?   I see green in one of the pictures so either a Grizzly or HF comes to mind.

The faceplate and the drive center and tail center are virtually useless for our work.   That's where the live center and dead center replace.

You already have a Drill Chuck so your good to go there.  You will mount that in the Tailstock and the PSI Pen Drilling Chuck mounts in the headstock.

It looks like you have a pen mandrel in the last picture.  Is the shaft replaceable in the MT2 taper

With the 3 Jaw Chuck, you would mount that in the Headstock, put the Live Center in the tailstock and the 1/4" rod would mount into the point of the live center.  The other end of the rod would mount in the chuck.

For the reel seat, if I have that mandrel in, what goes in the tailstock? Also, what keeps the wood from just spinning on the mandrel?

This is unbelievably confusing and I’ve done a lot of research before this. Most of the videos out there assume that a newbie knows this already. I will say though, I turned a piece of poplar to practice and it was fun
