I put off getting a rod tapered like Young's Para 15 because of the reputation for being tip heavy and I cast an original one that was indeed very tip heavy. Well, recently when I decided to make one anyway I searched for and found a downlocking screwlock seat that is fairly heavy (1 oz) and used that in finishing out the rod. I also added a little bit of lead core to the center of the reel and I'm liking this rod so much that I will be using it a lot for all my tailwater and warmwater fishing. The dry fly tip I have responds best with a WF6 and the other dry fly tip, which is actually parabolic uses a DT6. The taper I used is:
