I wanted to take a moment to say hello, and introduce myself. My name is Stephen. I live in the Midwest. I just recently picked up kayak fishing, I'm looking to build some purpose built rods to use in my kayak. I mostly fish for walleye, perch, bass, bluegills, and crappie. I throw a lot of crankbait, skirts, jigs, and bottom bounce.

I spent a majority of my vacation picking through this site, and decided to join you fine folks! I'm very excited to start building, and to learn all I can!

Welcome. Lots of great folks willing to share their knowledge.

Marriage is like a deck of cards- in the beginning, all you need is two hearts and a diamond.  In the end, you wish you had a club and a spade.

I'm thinking a 7 foot crankbait rod will be first. I wanthink to focus on weight and casting efficiency.
