Hey guys,

Given the deep freeze thats going on this rod was the perfect project to finish up.

I used an old fibreglass tip from a  spinning rod and guides off some broken rods to build this up. The reel seat area is stacked birch bark and the butt and fore areas are black walnut and sumac.

The reason I built it was to test out painting a blank.

I second the motion!  Great use of old parts and a nice grip.
