On my current rod build I'm in the process of installing the ferrules so I thought I'd post how I do it just using a small file.

very nice Ken. i love the step by step - you make it look easy.

Hi - Having sourced most of the bits and pieces to finish a rod 9 corks, reel seat etc, I was knocked back when pricing locally sourced ferrules !! They seem to start at about $50.
I appreciate the precision enginering involved even so thats mighty steep for entry level ferrules.
Any cheap source in the US ?.
Thanks
