In Topic: AmTack Bushido Fly Blanks

21 January 2016 - 03:19 PM

Sorry for coming to the party late......

We are super excited to bring out the Bushido fly blank line. It has been almost two years of testing and designing. Like our Matrix line, the Bushido blanks are very high quality but affordable blanks.
As soon as we have the shipment in hand we will be working on final specs and CCS. The specs you have seen listed will likely change. We have sampled and redesigned many of the blanks several times. As soon as the final offering is spec'd out we will have them listed on our website and other outlets.
The Bushido fly blanks are modeled after the super popular and successful inshore and freshwater line. They are matte black and made with the same high quality Torrey carbon fiber. We will have completed fly rods at the ICRBE show to cast and hopefully some of the blanks there to see.
I will be at ICRBE again this year and really look forward to seeing everyone that attends.
Please feel free to email me or call any time about any AT product..... 800-516-1750 ext 1207 , [email protected]

In Topic: New Rod Builders Directory.....

This is working pretty well... the site is climbing up the Google ranking and builders are reporting calls stemming from the site....

For those concerned.... this site is not sponsored by anyone and there is no advertisement.... it is for rod builders by a rod builder.... it is a side project of mine that I started over a year ago.

A couple things you can do to reduce (not eliminate) the edges with the 270....

Wrap a sacrificial thread over the decal to help press the decal tighter to the blank. I use an old E size thread, wrap it on tight and remove after 5 minutes.

Then CP the edges.....

I think Rod builder are the only ones who care about the edges.... never had a customer say a word.

If you are talking about a soft touch or rubberized type coating.... they will eventually wear off and are effected by chemicals such as deet and lacquer thinner
