"Vipava River Special" (..a rod for a good friend..)

I made this rod as a gift for a good friend of mine, Maybe I should say that we made it together. His job was to make all the hardware.. ferrules, reelseat, tube. I did the rest.... ;)

 

He lives just a few meters from the river Vipava in western Slovenia, so we decided to give a name to the rod after "his" river.. The rod is 7'6''#5/6 3/1, made with the modified Garrison 209E taper.

Excellent rod!  I like the classis look of the reel, too.  Thanks for sharing.

Who did engraving on rod tube?

Thank you, the tube was made by him... On some kind of CNC machine I suppose.. ;)
