I voted Western thumbsup.gif

To me Cigar grips just lack character, nor are they near as comfortable IMO

I guess I am alone with the garrison so far...on the one's i've seen with the thread winding checks, i think they make beautiful grips on smaller weight rods...

I own more cane then you think I do my great white northern friend tongue.gif whistling1.gif

I just never cared for cigar grips much myself. Too me they just dont fit my hand very well and kind'a look too "plain"...almost like someone turned the grip half way and then stopped turning it laugh.gif Just my opinion on them though wink.gif

If the western style wins, just send a bottle of really fine scotch to Chris, telling him to open it just before he glues the grip. Then youŽll have a 50/50 chance to get your reversed half wells........ drunk.gif

I would agree with Steve, A cigar grip just looks unfinished. On a Chris Carlin rod everything should be a well finished as the blank!

See Steve not all of us Canadians are mental cases! thumbup.gif

That is a wrap on this poll. After a fast start, the cigar got creamed by the western, so a western style grip it will be. headbang.gif

Lots more polls to come! We've still got reel seat, guides, wrap colors/tipping, sock and tube left. thumbsup.gif
