'Antique gold' is a dark yellow color, and the 'red' would be a slightly maroonish red, not candy-apple.

As much as I love the Payne style, upon reviewing the components I see that the reel seat insert and the agate stripper are crying out for some red... I went with antique gold main/red tipping smile.gif

Gary, I voted for clear/antique gold tipping ,but, antique gold/red tipping is my second choice. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed rod. Ralph

I just went with red main&gold tipping. I know thats probably a common color but it just seems like it would really suit the rst of the componets nicely to me thumbsup.gif
