I'm using one of these blade guides where 38mm equals 30*. Does anyone know how many mm would give me a bevel of 37*? I had been using a secondary bevel of 45* and I'd like to try something different. I lost my calculator and don't have the trig tables memorized. Thanks

Blade sharpening guide question.

MandolinMason,
You didn't define which side of the triangle is the 38mm.
I am going to *assume* that the 38mm is the length of the blade from the guide to the stone....
If that is true, then change the 38mm to 31.6mm.
*If* the 38mm is the side of the triangle that is vertical from the stone to where the blade pivots...
then change the 38mm to 45.7.
