Just a little visual of how I get the smooth flow through hidden front hood for Steelhead rods to minimize hand to metal contact for those bitter cold days.

Lemke LC25 hardware, OD is 1 3/32" and will mate near seamless to the cork fore grip.

Good show my friend. Is that a winding check I see at the far end?

Very nice Chris. And that that's a beautiful piece of wood, is that york gum or something else?

Very pretty. I had a seat on one of my rods years ago that I loved (was York Gum) and this reminded me of it. Love the burling in this one :)

Maybe it's just me but some of these hard maple burls remind me of tortoise shell.
They are gorgeous.

The reel seat has not yet been mortised for the reel Brendan.
Once I choose a side it'll look much like the following images.

Thank you and yes that one cut is tricky, I'd be lying if I said I've never had any go terribly wrong.  ;)

Great looking reel seat.  Centre pin fishing is unknown here in the South.  I agree with the others- the grain on the burl is beautiful.  Thanks for sharing.

Here is another centerpin seat that Chris made for my Sage One build. Wood is  Curly Koa.

I get many compliments on it.
