Hey Gregor,

I'm on the Loomis team and may be able to help you out. How old is the rod?
I'll be away for a few days, but PM me and I'll let you know what we can do. I'll be back on Monday.
Cheers,

Nick

one statement i never understood is:

Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts nor do they allow for exclusion of incidental or consequential damages; therefore , the above stipulated limitation and/or exclusion may not apply to you.

so you're telling me if i lived in state X, i'd have an unconditional warranty??

your best bet might be calling GL and see if they can match up a male section to your female section. It'll cost ya, as I have heard that they aren't leniant at all with their warranty service anymore.
