I have a question for you all. Today I fished my 1wt fiberglass rod and man did the two peices stick together bad. It joins with spigot ferrules. Is there something I can put on them to make it easy to take appart? It was so bad I actually had to cool it in a bucket of ice to get it to shrink up to come appart.

First, though, take a Q-tip, or similar, and swab out the female with alcohol to thoroughly clean it. Then rub the male end on a candle, then seat and unseat it a few times to work it into the female. Repeat 2 or 3 times. Once you get a light coat of wax thoroughly distributed on both pieces, it should prevent sticking for several months.
