Here is a 7' #4/5 weight. Also posted on the other forum. It is based on Ray Gould's Strong Special taper. This is fast rod. I made reel seat hardware and guides from brass. The rod is hollow scalloped and wrapped in amber tipped with classic chestnut.
Thanks,
Anthony

Great looking rod. The finish is very nice.

How do you apply your varnish?

Thanks BGreer, after the blank is made I add a few coats of Tru Oil. Then finish the wraps. After that dipped for three coats. Sanding between coats. Final finish is sanded and then brought back to gloss finish with polishes.
